Dear Library Friends, I hope today is a warm, wonderful and happy one for you. I am thankful for you for inviting me back to your libraries year after year. Being able to make a living by doing something you enjoy is a blessing I don't take for granted, and I thank you for helping me to do that. Blessings to each of you. -Jeff Quinn #Thanksgiving #Thankyou #jeffquinn
Okay, I'm more than a little biased about this. My nephew, Marcus Sikora wrote this book, but even if he hadn't, I'd still urge you to add it to your library. "Black Day, The Monster Rock Band" is a perfect children's book for Halloween. The book is fantastically illustrated with classic monsters in such a way that it won't be scary for young children. This book also has message about inclusion and befriending those who are different than you. This is especially significant w
This year was the first summer I've performed for libraries in western Nebraska and I guess I did okay! I'm already booking libraries in the Panhandle for summer of 2019. So far, I'm in Alliance the afternoon of June 19th; Bayard the morning of the 20th and Morrill the afternoon of the 20th. There's still plenty of room for other libraries to join in! If you're in the Alliance area, I'd love to visit your library the morning of the 19th and I might be able to fit another li
Last Friday, May 25th, I kicked off my Summer Reading Program season with the Wahoo Public Library! Carrie Trutna almost always has me kick off their Summer Reading Program and they're usually the first library I do each year. The first show went a lot more smoothly than I expected it to. There were just a few little glitches (mostly with the sound system when it came to playing music), but I handled everything in stride and received some great compliments about the new show.
You and I both want to have HUGE crowds at your library this summer and I want to help make that happen by giving you a few of these terrific posters to help promote my magic show. They're currently being printed and I hope to be able to start mailing them out to libraries in mid-April. You'll notice these posters have a convenient box at the bottom where you can fill in all of the necessary information like date & time of the show. They're 17 x 11 inches...a great size to pu
I'd like to wish you a very happy New Year. I hope that 2018 brings you good health, great experiences and wonderful prosperity. Thank you for all that you do and keep up the good work! #HappyNewYear #magic #SummerReadingProgram #JeffQuinn
Just like you, I want there to be a lot of people at my Summer Reading Program library show! If you need any promo photos, a biography or anything else from me, let me know...I'd be glad to help. Last year I even appeared on a local t.v. talk show a day or two before my library show in Bismarck, North Dakota! I enjoy doing whatever I can to help promote my appearance at your library. I'm also happy to talk to any newspapers or radio stations in the days leading up to my show.
I don't think I've EVER had this many libraries book me so early for their Summer Reading Programs! Today I added a show at the Columbus Public Library in June and THREE shows at the Elkhorn Branch Library. That brings my total to 29 shows at 19 libraries so far! But don't get too panicked! There are still plenty of great dates left on my calendar. But don't wait too long, I've already had to turn a couple of libraries away because they couldn't get me on the date they need
Greetings from London! I'm happy to be representing the Society of American Magicians later this week at the Blackpool Magic Convention in Blackpool, England. My wife and I arrived a few days early to see the sights of London and we've had a wonderful time. I'm sure I'll be bringing back plenty of new magic for the new Summer Reading Program show! Until then, Cheers! #JeffQuinn #London
I've been hard at work on my new Summer Reading Program Library Show. I think you'll like the way I've themed the show to go along with this year's theme. You'll see lots of sports and fitness references from jump ropes to NASCAR to running. I've even got a trick that involves bowling. As always, you can expect lots of audience participation, family-friendly humor and brand-new magic. I do want to clue you in on something. One of the tricks I do utilizes fake smoke. I a
The 2016 Library Summer Reading Program season is going to be a lot of fun. My calendar is starting to fill up quite nicely for this early in the season. I'm very excited to say that I have three dates all in a row when it looks like I'll be in Central Nebraska. It all starts Tuesday, June 28th with a 6:30 p.m. show at the Kearney Public Library. On Wednesday, June 29th I'm at the Broken Bow Library at 10 a.m. On Thursday, June 30th I'm at the Library in Palmer, Nebraska
Sometimes I sit back and wonder "what am I doing right???" Librarians from three states have been keeping me busy booking magic shows for the 2015 Summer Reading Program. Recently, Gretna Public Library put me over a major milestone. They are the 50th library to book me for this summer. To put this in perspective, I have NEVER booked 50 libraries before. In fact, I think that last year my final count was 45 shows at 35 different libraries. Right now I'm at 62 shows at 50
One question I get asked most frequently is "How did you get your start?" Well, recently the website www.gofireyourself.com did a feature story on me that answers that question. Enjoy.
