Despite having a record number of Summer Reading Program shows this past summer, only one of those shows was in the state of Kansas (thank you, Sabetha) and I didn't have any shows in Missouri. I'm hoping that in 2016, that's going to change.
On Friday, October 2nd, I'm going to be presenting a few of next year's routines at the Kansas Library Association/Missouri Library Association Joint Conference Performers Showcase. It's a little daunting. I'm very well known in Nebraska and western Iowa, but not so much in Missouri and Kansas.
Fortunately, I have a habit of planning ahead when it comes to Summer Reading Program shows, so I already have a few routines put together for next summer's theme. Lots of Missouri and Kansas librarians will get to see something that dozens of other librarians already know...I LOVE customizing my shows for you.
So, let me give all of my library friends a "Heads Up". If there are dates next summer that you absolutely, positively need me...please call me soon. I'm sure I'll get at least a few Kansas and Missouri bookings out of this conference and they just might be on the dates you want.
