LAGNIAPPE

The first time I saw the word "lagniappe", I was perplexed. You have to admit, it's not a word that comes up in everyday chit-chat. Lagniappe is a little gift; a little something extra. Something you're getting that you weren't expecting to get.

I love getting lagniappe, but I also love giving it. When you book me to do a show at your library, you'll get lagniappe...a little something extra. Any magician can come in and do a show for your guests, but I like to go the extra mile. I tailor my show to the SRP theme. This year, I'm doing two entirely different shows to cover both the CSLP and the iREAD theme. I also include messages that promote reading and using the library. I have a colorful backdrop that's great for photos to put on your social media pages. I usually give something away during my show.

Sure there's more that I do that you probably wouldn't expect, but I'm not going to tell you about that.

Because then it wouldn't be lagniappe.
