Somebody once told me that there were more books written on the art of magic than on all of the other performing arts combined! At first I found that hard to believe. After all, there's acting, singing, dance, mime, juggling...the list went on and on. I thought that would be impossible! But then I started to really look at it. Personally, I have well over 100 books on magic in my library. The local magic club I belong to boasts over 1,000 books and videos on the art of magic.

Wow! You librarians don't mess around! I'm getting several calls and e-mails and it's not even the end of November! Just today, I put Mason City, Iowa on my calendar and yesterday I added Columbus, Nebraska. I'm into week 6 of the Summer Reading Program season and all I can say is "Wow!" The new show is getting terrific reviews. Yesterday I was in Mason City, Iowa...today I was in Sabetha, Kansas and tomorrow I drive to Lexington in Western Nebraska. Next week, it's off to North Dakota for a mini-library tour.
