This is incredible! Bookings for the next Summer Reading Program season are coming in at a faster pace than I've ever seen. And that can be both a good thing AND a bad thing. But more about that, later. Right now though, I want to tell you about my appearances in not one, but TWO new states!

When I first stated performing at libraries about 25 years ago, I pretty much only performed for libraries in Nebraska and Iowa. Then after a few years, I branched out into South Dakota and Kansas. A year later I was in North Dakota. Wyoming and Montana soon followed. Now i get to add two new states to the list!

In early July, I'm part of the planning committee for the Society of American Magicians National Convention being held in Appleton, Wisconsin, the boyhood home of Harry Houdini. We're honoring Houdini in 2026 because that year marks the 100th anniversary of Houdini's death. So, since I'm already going to be in the area, I thought I'd try marketing my show to a few libraries in that neighborhood. Not only am I going to be at the library in Appleton, Wisconsin, but I'm also appearing at the library in Menominee, Michigan, about an hour and a half North of Appleton. A few other libraries in Wisconsin are also considering bringing me in.

I mentioned earlier that so many early bookings can be both positive and negative. The POSITIVE aspect, of course, is that I can have my tours filled in and be assured that the time and money I've invested into these news shows is going to deliver a return. The NEGATIVE part is that I know some libraries can't book early due to a variety of factors including not knowing what their 2026 budget is going to be.

When February and March roll around, I'm afraid I'm going to be telling a lot of libraries "No." As of this writing, I have 44 SRP magic shows already booked and at least 3 or 4 more are promising to get back to me this next week. There's already been one library that couldn't fit me in with the dates I have open. I'm hoping to visit them in 2027.

I hate to sound like a bad used car salesman and say that my inventory is moving fast, so you'd better jump on this deal. But I'm being honest. I HATE telling libraries that I'm not available. I wish there were enough time for me to perform at every single library, but I just can't. There's too many of you and too few of me.

So please, contact me as soon as you can and let's get your library on my calendar.
